7/26 FALL UPDATE

Waiver
We are going to have an additional waiver for each player that is specific to COVID-19. This waiver MUST be signed before anyone begins practicing. The coach will be handing these out at the first practice. The waiver is attached (here) if you want to be able to read/bring it signed ahead of time.

Masks
Players will not be required to wear masks while playing or practicing. The current plan is to have coaches and referees to be wearing masks, if not socially distanced. Players should not be sharing water in practices or games. Please understand soccer requires some level of contact, whether that is in practice or games. We are asking the coaches to keep the kids spaced the best they can for drills while contact is not occuring.

Camp
Soccer camp will continue on as scheduled. There will be one small change. The church needs to use their ground on July 29th. We will be moving that day to Friday July 31st. Camp will be held from 6-8pm. There will also be a COVID-19 waiver for camp players. When the player comes to the sign in desk a waiver will be available to sign by the parent/guardian.

In short camp days are July 27, 28, 30, and 31st.

4yr-9yr
For the U6, U8, and U10 age groups we are planning on having smaller teams to aid with social distancing for the fans and players; along with enough teams for everyone to play.

5th-8th grade
The 5th-8th grade kids play in the Central Illinois Youth Soccer Association (CIYSA). The CIYSA is made up of the area surrounding towns (Carlinville, Hillsboro, Litchfield, N Mac, etc). They are going to have a meeting in the first week of August to make a decision about the season. The league is reliant on the area towns to have enough teams to have a season. If the other towns don't participate there is no one for ASA to play. Once this decision is made we will let this age group know. Currently Auburn has enough players to have 1 team in each age group for girls and boys.

As with many things in society this year plans can and will change. We may need to adjust on how we should proceed. This is what we are currently going to be doing. If something does change you will be notified. If for some reason the season is canceled before the first week of games a full refund will be given.
