2020 ASA Fall soccer canceled

State of Illinois Guidelines
The governor of the State of Illinois has issued a statement 7/29 regarding guidelines for Youth and Adult Recreational Sports. The response can be seen on the states Coronavirus webpage here and a detailed document of their policy here. Soccer has been determined as a 'Medium Risk' sport. Medium risk sports are allowed to operate at a state identified Level 1 & 2. The levels are defined as follows:
Level 1 - No-contact practices and training only.
Level 2 - Intra-team scrimmages allowed, with parental consent for minors; no competitive play.
Level 3 - Intra-conference or Intra-EMS-region or intra-league play/meets only; state- or league-championship game/meet allowed for low-risk sports only
Level 4 - Tournaments, out-of-conference/league play, out-of-state play allowed; championship games allowed

2020 Fall Soccer
Auburn Soccer Association will be cancelling the 2020 fall season. Until the state's restriction has been changed or lifted, ASA is unable to provide soccer in the way that is reasonable.

Refunds
The league is in the process of going through the registration and processing full refunds. We are not planning on rolling over this season registration into the 2021 fall season. The web site we use to process the credit card transactions includes a $3 service fee. If you have registered for soccer camp, that fee still applies. If your player was only registered for the fall season a complete refund will be given. Please be patient as there are many people to get to.

2021 Spring Soccer (5th-8th grade)
The Central Illinois Youth Soccer Association (for 5th-8th grade kids), which ASA is a member of, is considering playing in the spring. First game would be March 28th, with the season ending tournament May 22-23rd. This will only be viable if the surrounding communities have enough interest and the states policy on recreational sports has changed. We will reach out to those families in January 2021 to get interest/commitments.

ASA is not attempting to provide the recreational league (4yr-9yr) with soccer in the spring.

2021 Fall soccer
ASA intends to have fall soccer starting practices in August. Registration will be available in the spring/summer for the 2021 fall season.
